Welcome to our site! This spot is dedicated to studying Korean culture, particularly on Staten Island. Being two Chinese-Americans, who enjoy Korean cuisine and music, we explored this different ethnicity by visiting the only Korean restaurant on the island and the grocery store located next to it. Through this site, you will discover information about Korean customs, the population’s statistics on Staten Island, and some popular culture of Korea.

Elaina Lei and Veronica Shi are two freshmen students, who study at The Macaulay Honors College of CUNY at the College of Staten Island. They are both first generation Chinese-Americans, who seek to learn more about other Asian cultures. Elaina Lei is currently a Biology major and Chinese minor, who is planning to pursue an occupation in Occupational Therapy. Veronica Shi is currently a double major in Corporate Communications and Design and Digital Media and Chinese minor, who wants to thrive in the world of business.
