Art Is…Instructions

If you follow these directions, your post will look something like this example:

For this project, you’ll make a new post and create a gallery with your Art Is.. picture and its contrast, followed by a brief description or explanation. Remember, you’ll need to join the class website in order to create posts. For help adding posts and creating an image gallery, use the WordPress tools under the Resources tab.

Additional Instructions (Important!)

  • Title your post Art is (your word here)
  • When creating your image gallery, make sure your pictures are in the right order.
  • Make sure the “Link to” setting in your gallery are set to “Media”, so we can see your images in full size.
  • Insert your gallery, and then type up your commentary below the placeholder for the gallery.
  • After you’ve finished typing, change from the “visual” tab to the “text” tab. At the top, you should see the code for your gallery, and it will look something like this:
    [gallery link="file" columns="2" ids="47,53"].

Insert size=”large” at the end, so it instead looks something like this:
    [gallery link="file" columns="2" ids="47,53" size="large"].
  • Make sure you select the “High Line” Category on the post page so that your post will show up.
  • Click Publish…voilĂ .
