Manhattan Beach Meets Sandy – Robin’s Photos

Manhattan Beach is three blocks long, with a bay on one end and an ocean on another. During Sandy, the bay and the ocean overflowed into Manhattan Beach.

The following photograph was taken during Sandy from my window on the block closest to the ocean.

The following two photographs depict the remnants of the buffer that separated my block from the ocean. These pictures were taken the morning after Sandy.

This is a photograph of my side yard on the morning after Sandy.

This photograph from my block was taken two days after Sandy.

The following photographs were taken on December 3, 2012, four weeks after Sandy. Manhattan Beach Park was still closed at that point due to destruction.
