When we visited the north side of 116th Street and Broadway it was a gloomy day, however Columbia’s buildings still felt very imposing and grandeur. The red brick was striking against the rest of the grey buildings. We did not observe many college students, probably because of the weather. Yet, there were a couple of people exiting and entering the train station. To contrast, the south side of 116th Street and Broadway felt a little more busy. This could have been because there were a lot more people entering and exiting the chain stores such as Shack Shack and Pret A Manger. Still, the area was not that exciting as both of us had already been to the location several times in the past.
