This site allows you to start building your eportfolio right away–using WordPress (which is usually known as a blogging software). If you have a code word (an answer to the security question), you’ve got all you need to get started. If you don’t have the code word, you can get it from your friendly neighborhood Instructional Technology Fellow, or by emailing joseph.ugoretz@ mhc.cuny.edu . These eportfolios will be available on the web, with a link that looks like this: http:// macaulay.cuny.edu/ eportfolios/ your-name-of-your-eportfolio . So do choose that name carefully–it’s going to be your address!
To start the process, just click the link on the right side of this screen that says “BUILD YOUR EPORTFOLIO NOW.” Then you just have to walk through the steps as you follow the instructions.
Once you’ve got the eportfolio set up, you can start adding your data (your “artifacts”), selecting a design that suits you, reflecting on artifacts and your learning, getting comments from others, and getting ready to show what you have to other people–your different audiences.
