One of my favorite artists is Egon Schiele who was an expressionist painter in Vienna Austria. Schiele was an active painter from 1890-1920. He defector from the traditional Vienna Fine Arts Academy to work under the mentorship of Gustav Klimt.
I admire Schiele’s work because of his dynamic range in style and subjects. Here are two examples of his range.
Outside of Vienna, the Neue Galerie of New York is home to a large collection of his work.
