Margaret passed on this news item about the iconic graffiti site of 5 pointz. Interesting concessions on the part of the developers – they offered space to the graffiti artists in the new development. Does it go against the point of the graffiti? Does it lose its integrity when it becomes legally sanctioned artwork? Or is it elevating the 5 pointz artists and giving them deserved recognition? … weren’t they already recognized though?
