Since I was a little boy, I’ve fantasized about living in New York City; it’s when I harken back to those long drives that my aunt would take me on, with the roof of her convertible down and the brisk night hair whirling all around me, that I am struck with awe that I made it here. I have always identified with Manhattan – I was in love the first time I saw her. And now, finally, through Macaulay, I have attained that dream that I longed for, that I had thought was so impossibly far away. Growing up on Long Island, I have come to abhor the banality of suburban life. The city has always called out to me in that regard with its various shops, infinite restaurants, and an abundance of recognized cultural hubs. Manhattan has always been, and will continue to be, a grandiose spectacle of lights, sounds, and smells. All the senses come alive when you’re there.
