My Roots

The neighborhood I identify with is my neighborhood Dix Hills, in Long Island. I have been living in this neighborhood since I was 4 years old, it holds all of my earliest memories, and it’s where my life really began. I can’t remember much from when I was younger so to me, this neighborhood was the start of my life in my memories. At times it is not the place I would love to be stuck in, since there is really nothing to do, but I have really come to appreciate it every time I go home. My favorite thing about my neighborhood is the peace and tranquility it offers after a long day. There is never any commotion, and I love being surrounded by nature, it feels so serene. When it gets warmer its my favorite place to go bike riding, the windy roads, hills and the wind hitting your face really helps to make a bad day better. It is where I go to relax and it’s where I truly feel like I am at home.
