In 2009, I spent most of my summer waiting outside the Trump International Hotel to get a glimpse of the Jonas Brothers. While I was there, I saw many interesting things. The hotel is located on Central Park West so obviously everyone who stays there are super rich and most of them have some sort of celebrity status. Most of them, Rihanna for example, aren’t very nice (the Jonas Brothers were angels of course). Everyone who waits outside the hotel is either an obsessive fan or paparazzi. The doormen know that when a popular celebrity checks in, they need to take the barricades out to keep the crazed fans in line. I don’t think I’ve ever walked past this hotel and not seen at least a couple of girls with posters. For us fans, the Trump is kind of like home. For the guests that aren’t looking for publicity, it’s probably more similar to prison.
