Food and Entertainment

Of the different people I met in Astoria, the twenty-eight year old IT professional had the most to say about  the neighborhood’s attractions and sources of entertainment.. He mentioned that there were “a lot of different events in the park”, music, shows, and a movie theater. He said his favorite foods are pizza, empanadas, Indian food, and Japanese food and there is “a ton of stuff around here,” including restaurants that sell all of those foods close by. He likes to go to Astoria Park, Steinway Street, and Ditmars Boulevard. He said there is “lots of stuff to do, lots of stuff to see” in Astoria. From what I can tell from what I have seen of Astoria, he was not lying. Astoria has a plethora of restaurants and dozens of interesting places, some of which are described on this site.
