Kissena Lake in Kissena Park

If you are looking for a place to relax or for some outdoor activity fun, then Kissena Park is a great place to be. After a cleanup of the lake in 2004, the beautiful lake and the grounds surrounding the water are a perfect place to enjoy some sunshine and sleep under the trees. In addition, along the paths there is a basketball and tennis court if you are in the mood to play.

Queens Botanical Garden (43-50 Main Street, Flushing, NY)

Instead of sweating on the basketball court, you can also go to the Queens Botanical Garden, which is only a few blocks away from the busy streets and noise of Flushing’s Main Street. Built in 1862, this magnificent Victorian-era building is known to be the venue for numerous music and art functions.
