- melodrama: a play, film, etc, characterized by extravagant action and emotion
- dramatic irony: irony that is inherent in speeches or a situation of a drama and is understood by the audience but not grasped by the characters in the play.
- Conflict: a state of opposition between ideas, interests, etc; disagreement or controversy
- Dialogue: conversation between two or more people
- Monologue: a long speech made by one actor in a play, film, etc, esp when alone
