Welcome to the 59th Street D-stop! The 59th street D-stop is one of the most interconnected areas of the city. Our stop connects to the 1,2,A,B,C, D lines as well as a number of bus routes, allowing you to easily travel throughout Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn. As a result, the neighborhood is influenced by not only the residents, but by numerous groups such as students, tourists, and fellow New Yorkers who spend much of their time and money in the area. This website explores the impacts of these groups in relation to the area’s history and in comparison to other neighborhoods throughout the city.
