The rest of the semester

I mentioned a couple of days ago in class that I am likely to rearrange the dates in which specific readings are assigned so that we will be discussing Nobody and HoppedĀ on the dates that the authors of these books will join us. As of now, William “Nobody” Helmreich is scheduled for 4/23. Tony “Hopped” Fletcher is slated to appear either 4/2 or 4/30. Due to the uncertainty of the latter date, I am holding off on the syllabus revision until we have clarity. I hope to have the revised course reading assignments posted by next week’s class.

Please do stay on track with the readings for this week, even though we will spend the class touring Harlem with Professor Cindy Lobel. We will meet in B86 at 1 PM sharp to leave for the tour. Please be prompt. If anyone has a school bus we can use to get there, let me know! Otherwise, bring your Metrocard.

Lastly, if you have not submitted and posted your oral history, and have not touched base with me about when I can expect to see it, please let me know. See you next week.
