Understanding Art
“The LeWitt encourages us to think; the Pollock encourages us to dream” (p. 26). Which effect is more important in connection to visual art? I think art, from the aspect of the artist, is more creative than cerebral, but is the same true for the viewer?
“What is Theatre” Question
The way a playwright transmits his or her message is by connecting with the audience, which I would think necessitates a high level of verisimilitude. Why would any playwright choose a style of low verisimilitude? I think this would be a less effective manner of transmitting the message. (pp 37-38)
“Understanding Art” Question on the Reading
