Sun Yat Sen

Sun Yat Sen, or Sun Zhongshan, lived from 1866-1925. His statue is located in Columbus Park, the only park in Chinatown. This statue was created to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the Republic of China; Sun Yat Sen had an integral part in the creation of the new Republic of China as one of the leaders of the revolution in 1911 (4).
