Christopher S. Cali
Chris Cali is the Student Development Coordinator at the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY and a current Masters student at the CUNY Graduate Center, studying Data Analysis & Visualization.
Chris performs many different functions in his role at the Honors College, advising student leaders, fostering leadership development, and event planning. He chairs a joint student and administrative committee that seeks to improve the experience around Community Service at the college. He also handles administrative tasks for Student Development, managing student organization finances, policy enforcement & review, and more.
Chris is also an alumnus of Macaulay Honors College, having graduated in 2018. In his days as a Mathematics student at the Brooklyn College campus, Chris gained a first-hand understanding of student groups and activities, having founded the Macaulay Photography Club and been a member of the Executive Board of Macaulay’s Student Government, the Macaulay Scholars Council, for two years and a representative for four.
Pursuing further education, Chris is a student in the Data Analysis and Visualization Masters program at the CUNY Graduate Center, focusing his studies on the use of statistics in Data Science, geographic information systems (GIS), data theory, and beyond.
Before returning to the Macaulay Honors College for employment, Chris worked at Success Academy Charter Schools (Bensonhurst) as a Community Relations Coordinator, managing all events and school trips for the elementary school, training teachers and other staff on safety protocols, coordinating all parent communications, chairing their Parent Council (their version of the PTA), and providing operational support and supervision for daily school systems such as arrival, lunch, dismissal, and more.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys photography and shoots with a Canon EOS M50 and FujiFilm XT-30. He also enjoys alpine skiing in the winter, traveling, and hiking, among other things.
