In 2024, we’re looking to have our partners from the past return and to partner with even more great organizations! Please let us know if you are interested in participating in 2024 by filling out the form below. The days of the challenge will be April 26-April 29, 2024. Partnering with us means that you will do one or more of the following:

Spread the word!
➤ Post Flyers/Posters
➤ Write about CNC in Blogs/Newsletters
➤ Create social media announcements

Develop (or add to) programs!*
➤ Pre-CNC iNaturalist trainings
➤ Info tables
➤ Guided walks
➤ Public BioBlitzes
➤ ID parties
➤ Connect CNC to already existing programs

*Most of these can be translated into virtual events, if need be.

Partner organizations will correspond with the lead NYC organizer, Dr. Kelly O’Donnell, to coordinate plans and share information. Partners will be able to request a Macaulay student or other affiliated volunteer to attend their event as an “iNaturalist pro.” The iNaturalist pro students have experience collecting data for our BioBlitz via iNaturalist and get further training in March on how to help new users get observing for the City Nature Challenge. If scheduling permits, partners will also be able to request a live zoom training on any aspect of the City Nature Challenge delivered by Kelly O’Donnell.

We recommend you join the City Nature Challenge 2024: New York City project page on iNaturalist for updates about CNC. This page is also the place where any of your events are listed and where our results can be viewed during the CNC. To see what this looks like view our 2023 project page.

If you’re interested in partnering with us, please let us know by filling out the form below. We will host “Lunch & Learn” Zoom sessions in November, December, and January. If you have missed these, we can send you a recording.
