AIDs And Its Journey Through The Caribbean Diaspora:
AIDs has become a widespread epidemic and has caused millions of deaths worldwide. It has become a significant problem because of its ability to easily spread and affect a variety of races and ages. Originating in Africa, the HIV virus has now found its way onto six continents. The changes in the migration patterns over the last century that gave rise to the Caribbean diaspora brought along the disease as an unexpected consequence of the massive movement. The consequences of the widespread disease have also resulted in the social stigmatization of those afflicted with it. Modern medicine has significantly helped those who seek treatment, however society continues to treat the disease and yet neglect those affected by it.
