When analyzing both sets of socioeconomic data presented above one can see the trend found in the neighborhood. In the 1999 data table, there was a total of 113,078 households in the community district. Of those households the median household income was $64,125, making it the third highest median household income in the five boroughs (behind the Manhattan district 8 (highest) and Staten Island district 3). In the 2010-2012 data table, there was a total of 97,641 households in the community district. Of those households, the median household income rose to $93,258 (making it the second highest median house income for the five boroughs, still behind Manhattan district 8). Additionally, to further prove the increase in the community’s wealth the mean household income was $158,798, 23.3% of the population has a yearly income of $200,000 or more, and almost half (47.6%) of the population has a yearly income of $100,000 or more.  The community has had a significant increase in its socioeconomic status.
