The Old Quaker Meeting House is the one of the oldest places of worship in New York City. Located in Flushing, Queens, it still serves the original purpose and hosts Sunday  services in multiple languages to accommodate the community.

“If I were to describe the Old Quaker Meeting House, I think about a rock under a tree. At the moment, it might appear as if it is resisting progress; the old wooden church really does not belong in Main Street. It is almost like a gigantic boulder underground, which prevents the tree from drinking water…The extra effort used to dig deeper in search of water will later allow the tree to live longer in this stormy city. “- Lucius Seo.
