Well it’s a brand new year everybody! Lots of crazy stuff happened – Obama’s reelection, Sandy, Newtown, the end of the world – you know, the usual… Jibjab pretty much sums it up. Don’t take it the wrong way – many of these past events have been devastating and my heart goes out to all who have suffered and are still struggling to get back on their feet. It’s disheartening every time I walk around downtown and hear the rumbling of the motors still pumping water from the basements. It helps to call friends and reach out to those whom maybe you haven’t seen in a while – to strengthen previous bonds despite and yet especially so in times of disaster.

A little reflection, a little humor, and a lot of love from my mom and bro help keep me going and I hope that you can find and thrive in that sense of community amidst the chaos.
