If you are feeling like something simple and delicious, try these yummy beans. For me, they are what I cook 10 minutes before Shabbat as am I panicking that there will be a shortage of food. (which, by the way, there never is)
This is my kind of concoction-super fool-proof and flexible, while always tasting fresh and delicious.
Ingredients:
A hefty bunch of Green Beans, with ends cut off
4-5 cloves o fresh garlic, chopped finely
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
Freshly ground sea salt to taste
A pinch of red pepper flakes
Directions:
Steam the green beans in a shallow pot of boiling water for 3-4 minutes, or until the beans become a bit darker in color and are tender when you poke them with a form. Drain the beans.
Melt the olive oil, butter, and garlic together in a frying pan or wok. Be sure that the garlic doesn’t brown, or it will become bitter. Add the green beans and the rest of the ingredients. Sautee for around 15 minutes. Season as desired.
