Guggenheim Museum
by Dow Kim on Dec.03, 2012, under Guggenheim
Here is a poem about the Guggenheim. Included are facts about the museum itself, the art inside, and Guggenheim himself.
One of many around the world, residing in the NYC
Over fifty years since it came to be
From a mix of sand and cement called gunite
The building is one of interesting and unforgettable sight
Curved walls in place around a circle core
Not the first architectural sketch seven hundred more
Modern art is a big inspiration to Guggenheim
But he perished before grand opening time
Walk up the spiral ramp all the way to the end
Seeing more and more artworks as you ascend, or descend
One of the exhibits is Picasso Black and White
Famous paintings like The Milliner’s Workshop, left and right
A very contemporary styled structure with unique pieces of art
Take a gander at it, it will intrigue your heart
