This project began as my contribution to the panel “Old Words, New Tools” for the Shakespeare Association of America conference in Boston, in April 2012. To reconsider the definition of what we accept as a gloss for a text prompted me to explore the possible pedagogical benefits of new tools available in the digital medium.
