Folger Digital Image Collection
The Folger Digital Image Collection offers a vast array of images from the Folger Shakespeare Library. LUNA, the Folger’s interface for their Digital Collections, allows researchers to collect search for high resolution images (books, manuscripts, art, theatre costumes and memorabilia, etc.). With LUNA you can also save images or a collection of images to a specific Media Group where you can reorder images, create a slideshow, export to PowerPoint, share a link to your self-curated group, or embed the media into another platform such as WordPress. You may incorporate images from your own Flickr stream in your Media Group. And LUNA allows its users to create a Workspace where you can have single or multiple images, zoom in to a specific section of the image, annotation your image, and share or embed the Workspace (see below). The resolution of the images are impressive. The ability to customize your own collection and share it with others is a valuable pedagogical tool.
