*Focus/Theme: Then Versus Now:
– Compare relevance of museum then – as a tenement and actual home – to relevance of it now as a museum:
- Connect to changes in the neighborhood (Lower East Side) and to changes in the time period.
- Possibly connect to a modern translation of tenement life.
- Create video documentary. [will be compiled by Naomi and Victoria]
*Objective: Describe characteristics of the museum and provide context of its cultural significance:
- Describe characteristics through data gathered from museum visits.
- Conduct additional research on museum via visits to libraries, online databases (looking for academic journals, old newspapers) etc…
- Conduct interviews with museum personnel to find out more about museum’s history and what role the museum plays for its community then and now.

1. Order tickets for museum:

Thursday March 28th: “Then & Now” @ 2pm & “Hard Times” @ 4pm.
– Second tentative site visit:
Sunday March 31st OR April 7th: “Victoria Confino” @ 12 pm.
2. Contact museum for information regarding interviewing and/or filming Victoria Confino. [Victoria]
3. Schedule interview/meeting with curator/president/historian etc. associated with museum. [Alex]

5. Continue basic research of museum and surrounding neighborhood. [all]
6. Begin brainstorming layout of webpage. [all]
