Created by artist Matthew Hoffman, located on the Staten Island Mall plaza outside of Shake Shack.
I chose the Staten Island Mall “Be Kind” sculpture as a piece of art in my community. This sculpture has been part of the remodeling of the mall, which took a long time and was awaited several months for by the people of the neighborhood and is, of course, a great photo opportunity for Staten Islanders. This piece does speak to me because it is reminder to spread positivity in our community and generally be kind to yourself and to everyone around you. We all need to remember to be good to one another, and this larger than life reminder fits perfectly in the center of Staten Island Mall’s outdoor court.
This is great, I don’t think I have noticed it yet. I will need to check it out.
