This week’s guest was one of my favorite at this point. Personally, music is a more interesting art form than poetry and painting because it is more easily accessible to more people. Everyone listens to music. Different genres and styles, different bands and performers. Chris’ music wasn’t necessarily my style, but I liked it regardless. Something that stood out to me was that music serves as his way of expressing his emotions by creating something for others. He was careful about calling his music his “job.” This is a common theme I have noticed among our guests each week. They do not let the fact that they create this art as a “job” impact their passion for their work. They seem to believe that once you label work as a job, the passion will more easily run dry.
