Marco’s Pandemic Playlist

1 Life is good – Future ft. Drake – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0U7SxXHkPY

I picked this song because this has been my mindset ever since the pandemic has started. I cannot say that I drift away from this mindset at times but I try to have this mindset since the pandemic has impacted a lot of people and to wake up every day and have my loved one’s with me has been a blessing. I value a lot of things more and just try to be positive since a lot of things are going wrong in the world.

2 Laugh Now Cry Later – Drake ft. Lil Durk – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFm7YDVlqnI

I choose this song because a lot of issues have occurred in the world in 2020 that have been horrible. I try to laugh issues off and enjoy life since things do not seem to be getting any better and just enjoy the moment. I would rather look back and be happy about not stressing too much instead of overthinking everything.

3 No No No – Flipp Dinero ft A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLMjE0MV3Es

This song relates to 2020 since a lot of people want this year to be over and it is not a great start to a new decade. This is partially my attitude towards the year and I feel it should not have been like this since many people were impacted during important times in their lives.

4 Paranoia- Pop Smoke ft. Gunna, Young Thug – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BWb0WBQXjw

I chose this song because with the pandemic and cases rising, I have become paranoid to an extent. I constantly have to think about who I am with and what risks are associated with them. The virus has made us all more cautious but also a bit paranoid about what we touch and made us watch our every move.

5 Enjoy Yourself – Pop Smoke ft. Karol G – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qk0r28YiIyk

I enjoy this song because in these stressful times I think that everyone should just take some time to enjoy themselves. Take a day off and not worry about school or work and leave that as a “later” problem to be delt with. Everyone should just take some time to relax since being remote is the not the easiest or healthiest thing for a person.

6 Bad Luck – Sleepy Hallow – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a-wBnZQo_Q

I feel that this song describes 2020 perfectly. I think that this year has only gotten worse since it started. I say this because of the pandemic and the deaths of many people, artists, and athletes. Life has changed and not for the better, so this year represents bad luck in my opinion.

7 Die Young – Roddy Ricch – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FctI8l2KKw8

I chose this song because this year many people have died due to the pandemic that should not have. I also think that Kobe, and artists like Pop Smoke, King Von, and Kj Balla to name a few, were taken early from society.  This year too many people have been taken away from us that should not have and that is why I chose this song.

8 Me, Myself, & I –  G-Eazy ft. Bebe Rexha  – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSfpSOBD30U

Many people can relate to this song and that is why I chose it. With school being remote and quarantine starting, I feel that a lot of people have become secluded to an extent. A lot of people and myself personally have felt different due to the change in environment and being home a majority of the time.

9 Come & Go – Juice WRLD ft Marshmello – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXKM_kGNJTQ

This song represents the concept of temporary friends. I say this because since 2020 has started and quarantine started I realized that many people who said they would keep in contact did not. It has made me realize that people “come and go” and some are only meant to be in your life temporarily.

10 Ambition – Fivio Foreign  – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NCI9rY6tJ0

This song represent how I have felt at certain points in 2020. During this pandemic I have tried to expand my knowledge and learn new things since I was home a lot of the time. I tried to work on myself and was ambitious at certain points which is a positive thing that came from this pandemic and has made me change my perspective overall.
