I chose this political cartoon because there is a lot of gun violence and an excessive amount of school shootings as well. 1 school shooting should be excessive enough but somehow there are more than that every year. Also coming from Wagner high school where we had a lot of lockdowns, bomb threats, and other gun related incidents it just hit close to home. And it wasn’t just Wagner but other schools on the island as well.
