The Great Kills Veterans Memorial

This memorial is literally a 2 minute drive by my household in Bay Terrace. But this memorial captures the deceased lives of 5 veterans of war who lived in Great Kills. I found this to be a great piece of art to show because i respect the army and what they do for our country, and not for them we would not have a free country like the United States of America. They have sacrificed their lives to protect us from danger, and I take into heart their efforts. Besides from the meaning of the memorial, this art work is the work of a very good architect. The way the memorial was was made to show the 5 faces of these soldiers and the landscape around them show a peaceful environment that may demonsrate how these men were like. The 5 pillers that have come together and the size of the memorial show how much these men meant to the community.
