Macaulay Honors College Seminar 1 at City College, Fall 2015
In this The Arts in New York City Seminar 1, we shall investigate
various kinds of arts, their specific qualities, histories, appeal, and limitations, as well as standards by which we may judge artworks and art. In addition, we shall attempt to place the arts into a broader context, one that addresses on-going debates and controversies surrounding the arts and interrogates the role of the arts in society more generally.
