Hey guys. I decided to post a picture of my native Albania. This picture was taken last August, which is the last time I visited. It is taken from a destroyed castle on top of a hill overlooking the city of Gjirokastër. It depicts the Albanian flag flying above the city’s houses.

Hello everyone. My name is Anim Xhafa. I was born in Fier, a small city in southern Albania, and I moved to New York City when I was four years old. i I am at CCNY to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering so that one day I can hopefully work for NASA. Outside of school, I love to play soccer, run, and play the guitar. I also love taking up new interests on the fly, so I am very excited to see what kind of different clubs I can join both at Macaulay and at CCNY. Despite living in New York City for the majority of my life, I am party ashamed to say that I haven’t explored the city as much as I would have liked. I’ve never been to the top of the Empire State Building, I’ve only seen one opera in my life here, and I’ve never attended a Broadway musical. I’m hoping that this class will let me discover all the gems of NYC and learn more about art along the way.
