My name is Grace, and I’m an Electrical Engineering major, with an intended minor in classical studies (and computer science if I can work it out to take all the classes). I was born and raised in the Bronx, and went to high school on the Upper East Side. I was a Girl Scout since I was five years old and just recently aged out of it, having earned my Gold Award project, where I started a maker club at an after-school center. The idea for the project came out of my own interest in amatuer tinkering; I attended Maker-Faire my junior and senior year (and I’m sad I couldn’t go this year), I did a senior independent study on making a tiny robot, and I really like playing around with Tinkercad (I want to learn how to use Autocad soon). In my free time I also really enjoy trying new restaurants/bizarre food places all over the city, watching youtube videos, specifically Buzzfeed and Cut videos, reading (I like detective/crime fiction a lot), and painting.
I have really enjoyed being in class with you all so far, and I’m so excited to get to know you all over the next few years.
