A quick announcement to clarify a few things about the upcoming week.
There will be two things due on Sunday, October 22nd.
The first is a draft of your photo portfolio and self-analysis. Please see the announcement posted by Denisse (Announcement 09, dated October 17) on the course e-portfolio site regarding how to configure the site for this assignment. Please send the updated URL to me and Denisse on Sunday night so that we can revised the list on the course site. If you have any questions about the technology, please e-mail Denisse.
We will do a peer review of the photo portfolios in class on Tuesday, October 24th. The peer review groups will posted on the course site on Monday morning. Take some time to look at the portfolios and self-analysis of your group mates before coming to class on Tuesday, October 24.
The final draft of the photo portfolio will be due on Sunday, October 29th.
Finally, BA #7, which constitutes a bridge between our Photography sections of the class and the City Stories section of the class is also due on Sunday night to the course e-portfolio site. Instructions for this assignment are posted on the course site under assignments. It asks you do a brief reflection on filmic devices used in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and to imagine your own silent film/murder mystery set in New York City. We will also discuss these in class on Tuesday before break off to do an activity in Madison Square Park.
