Jackson Diner

Since its opening in 1983, Jackson Diner has been serving a variety of Indian food right in the heart of Little India on 74th street in Jackson Heights. They boast an exceptional lunch buffet that expresses the vast culinary cuisine of India. On our visit to the store we met one of the stores managers and he told us about the restaurant’s origins and what it means to him. Surprisingly, Jackson Diner was orginally not an Indian restaurant. It used to be located on the corner of 74th street and was primarily a Greek restaurant. After a few months this restaurant added some Indian food. Eventually the Indian food became a lot more popular in the area, the new restaurant was bought, and the Indian restaurant we know now opened in 1983.
