Since Professor Judell was fascinated by my Animusic shirt, I thought I’d share its brilliance. Basically, Animusic is a collection of music animations where “purely imaginary instruments perform in their native settings.” The company was founded by Wayne Lytle, with the help of David Crognale, around 1995, although Lytle has been doing this type of work since 1989. It has produced two major DVDs and the third has been in development since 2005.
Here are a few stills from Animusic’s DVDs:

Resonant Chamber

Fiber Bundles

Pipe Dream 2
More information can be found at www.animusic.com if you’re interested; they have video previews and some production stills from Animusic 3 as well. The videos from both DVDs are on youtube for your viewing pleasure.
Excellent! I think Animusic also has free podcasts on iTunes.
I enjoy watching these from time to time, it’s pretty amazing how they can put these together
Yeah, I remember watching clips of these on PBS when I was young.
I remember watching them when I was old. Here’s another example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lExkQMEHhU&feature=relmfu
I never knew about this until that day in class. It’s quite fascinating.
I remember watching this on TV also. It’s quite intriguing to watch and see the animated instruments produce music. Watching and listening to Animusic could be like a kind of music therapy.
