There are several possibilities for making audio visual presentations for your final projects. This page will help you with ideas and resources as you get started on these projects. I am also available to help with technical problems as they come up, so don’t hesitate to email me at maggie.dickinson@gmail.com with any questions. Below you will find resources for making a project either using iMovie or Prezi. Feel free to talk to your ITF and faculty  if you have an idea for another format for this project.

Examples of Past Projects:

iMovie:

Here is a good one in an interview style from one of Professor Monte’s courses

Here is a good one in a text style, also from Professor Monte’s course

Prezi:

This should give you an idea of what you can do in Prezi

You can also embed video clips, which may be necessary for these final projects

Creating and Editing and iMovie Project:

Here are some helpful tutorials for getting started in iMovie

Creating an iMovie project

The easiest way to add still photos to your project is to put them in your iPhoto library first. Then you can follow these steps for adding them to your movie

To add audio (either music or a voice over narrating your project), you can follow these steps

Downloading YouTube Videos to Use in Your Final Projects

In order to edit a video from YouTube you have to save it as a file to your hard drive. You can use either an online converter or download a converter.  One online option is keepvid.com, which works well.  You simply cut and paste the url of the video you want to download onto the keepvid website and click “Download”. This will download a copy of the file to your computer.
If you would prefer to download a program to use, you could try one of the options here: http://www.wikihow.com/Download-YouTube-Videos
Once you save the file on your computer (I would recommend saving as an MPEG4), then you can drag it into iMovie and edit it into your project.
