I begin my adventure on the night of the 14th when I usually pick up my aunt from work on West 72nd street. I’m a native New Yorker, lived in Brooklyn for almost my whole life. Something special about where I live is that from the view of Caesars Bay you can see the World Trade Center. Since I was young the building fascinated me and to this day does the same. I watched it build its way back up since the tragic events of 9/11 and truly have seen it evolve over the years. It tells me that, even through rough times, we work together, as a community but most importantly, as a country, to get back on our feet.
