Keeping Busy (but not too busy)

Hello again!

Here is a summary of the highlights from the past week (in the form of photos, since we have an assignment due tomorrow):

-Fancy coffees at Cafe Tortoni

Cafe Tortoni, the oldest coffee shop in Argentina

-Wandering around San Telmo

A sculpture of Mafalda (a very popular Argentinian comic strip character) on a bench outside the cartoonist's old home in San Telmo

The courtyard of a building filled with artist/artisan workshops and little bookstores. Most of them were closed for the day, so we'll just have to go back 🙂

Some windows. The doors and graffiti/street art of Buenos Aires photos will get their own post later on.

-A day trip to an estancia just outside the city for a few minutes of horseback riding, lots of food and drinks, traditional music, and the gauchos putting on a show.

-Returning to San Telmo yesterday for the sprawling open-air antiques/trinket/souvenir/handicraft market. More details, photos and videos will be in the next post.
