New York City is an amazing place. It’s a central part of the world in every way possible: financially, politically, and artistically. There is so much going on here all the time that it can be a bit overwhelming and even a bit surreal. There’s a lot to see in New York. In fact, there’s so much to see that it’s sometimes hard to see anything at all. Now of course I don’t meant that literally. What I mean is that there are so many sites to take in that they all tend to get dulled. A lot of things that would be greatly admired on their own seem to lose their value when put alongside a million other works of art. Since it’s so rare for something to really get my attention, the things that do tend to be captivating, and leave a lasting impression.
