Robyn Rihanna Fenty, more popularly known by her stage name, Rihanna, is a Barbadian singer prominent in mainstream American music. Although her music incorporates typical elements of American pop, Rihanna tries to distinguish herself as a Barbadian singerĀ (and dancer for that matter too), who does not solely limit herself to mainstream American music and dance.

While listening to her music, one is able to notice a divergence from American music and dancing, to a flare and meshing of another kind. This flare can be contributed to her Barbadian roots, and she tries to incorporate this spirit into most, if not all, of her performances!

See her performances here along with her addition to American mainstream music with her hints of Caribbean.
