- Macaulay Business: Working with Baruch
- Creative Writing: The 67th Street Scribe October issue has been published. 37 submissions, but they would like more for the next issue. Next Deadline: October 18th. Club meetings are going well. Meet every other Thursday from 7-8:30pm
- Dancers: 10 girls on the team, studio space now at John Jay. Competition in April. Bollywood team meeting Friday, just finished auditions. Workshops (Fridays 6:30-8:30) twice a month that are open to all students at any level.
- Debate: competitive team. Competing with Columbia in December. Working with Nasa for an event.

- Meeting: Tuesday in Commons
- Game Society: Looking for new members from upperclassmen. Want to have guest speakers, in talk with two people that are part of game design.
- Gastronomy: Finalizing plans for Mac & Cheese tutorial night. Hollo-Turk-Mas is happening again this year, as well as outings. Want to get a food anthropologist/nutritionist to come next semester. Thinking about a Sushi night.
- Global Brigades: Medical, Water, Public Health a + adding human rights and micro finance. Now reached to students at all 8 campuses! Oct 16th: Game Night. Fall Rumba in November. Going to add educational events, i.e.: speakers.
- Habitat for Humanity: builds are on Saturdays, focused on Sandy Relief. First on the 31st in Queens. Planning fundraising event in December to build gingerbread houses
- Drew: Macaulay likes to host a “scares and cares.” October service + event. Their halloween event can fit into that.
- Hillel: two meetings that went well. Breast Cancer Walk on Oct 18th. Nursing home initiative later this month. Thinking of adding chapter of Israli__.
- Humans of Macaulay: planning for 3 posts a week. Open to upperclassmen. MWF@5pm. Needs reps on these campuses: CSI, Queens, Baruch.
- Marauders: Sunday have tournament in Philly. Halloween weekend; NE regionals in Rochester — need help with registration
- Mathaulay: Lucy will be stepping down in November. Biggest event: Math symposium for the second year (11/22). General interest meeting with Math related games, more meetings with speakers. Hunter math professor to speak about mathematicians on Wall Street in November.
- Messenger: A lot of incoming Freshmen. First issue will be published tomorrow. Next deadline is on October 24th. Upgrading Facebook page.
- Photography: FIrst meeting was ok with turnout. Create a magazine for work by members. Want photographers to be at the events. Friday nights @5pm biweekly.
- Pied Filmmakers: 6 second films. Open event on the October 19th (6-10pm) — workshop and competition, snacks.
- 4th July in December party with Global Brigades
- Pre-Health: First meeting yesterday – big freshmen turnout. Want to expand pre-health fields, most members are pre-med. Want to create a peer mentoring program.
- Pre-Law: event about admissions policy.
- Psychology: next meeting is the next week. Planning on getting speakers.
- SPARK: First interest meeting on Wednesday. Volunteer programs being organized for members in East Harlem.
- South Asian Health and dvpt: focusing on 3 projects for year: public health and hygiene module – working with an organization, humanitarian comp with zahn center at city college, schools and technology drive (residence halls and high schools). For events: Bollywood event, henna night, festival, and want to work with other cultural clubs to bring Common Ground back up and running.
- Theater: main event is the 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee (20 person cast and crew). Help with costume, make up, set building, design — contact them. November 7th (7:30) and 8th (2:30 matinee). Rehearsal alternating Tuesday and Saturdays, plus Fridays. Want to get talks by industry people for advice.
- Triplets: winter concert is the November 21st&22nd. Amy Winehouse, Pussycat Doll medley.
- YES: VOlunteer at a Community Center by Macaulay. Formed initial teams (games, historian, beauty) that work with seniors in those areas.
VI. Special Initiatives
- Arts Night: Thinking about adding meetings to Fall Semester, will be announcing them. 11/6th from 6-8 in Room 3N. Adding “Arts Inspiration” nights to go to a gallery or museum –> help get ideas for arts Night.
- Drew: College Arts Night at the Met wants to get more CUNY/Macaulay members.
- CUFF: Big night for showcasing CUNY’s talent. More information to come soon for this Spring’s event.
- Supporting Excellence: last year Cornell West came. (February or March)
- TEDxCUNY: November 20th — unsure of venue. Planning for 20 speakers, expect over 500 attendees. Need volunteers, speaker suggestions, and pitch ideas for speaker competition M-Th next week. Information on TEDxCUNY website.

- Political action: made charter, but needs to send proposal.
VIII. Club Officer Questions
- New event form: has the option to send info straight to Macaulay Monday. Would like Upload Document option. A couple people have used it.
- Club Spending: communication about expenditures are important between Club Officers and Drew + Chris.
- CUNY Campuses screwed by the State’s cuts. All campuses affected.
- Related: Opportunities Fund news. There will be a second level of review in addition to ensuring request fits majors & all requirements. The second level of review will be done by finance department of Macaulay.
- Tip: be as thorough as possible and make sure to complete all requirements.
- Seniority issue: seniors may get first dibs if they haven’t yet used much of their opp funds/experiences.
- Q: is it temporary? It’s a financial situation that the country is feeling.
- More information will be shared as it is announced and understood.
- Drew: Macaulay Monday announcements need to be sent in Thursday before 12pm to get them in the Monday issue.
- Snack Request Form: clubs can request for events. Good for before budgest are approved. Two weeks notice are needed.

- Spain Trip: working on figuring out this and new programs for students

- Committee members: set number of people per committee, seniority.
