The religious communities of Bensonhurst Brooklyn are a diverse and accepting group. The different immigrant and religious populations seem very acknowledging and receiving of each other and even seem willing to work together towards a greater and larger sense of community. Often churches hold services in a variety of languages to cater to different immigrant groups while still allowing them to all feel at home and experience a sense of shared camaraderie over their religion. Religious groups hold an important roll in the community with religious centers like the David Magen synagogue, the New Utrecht Reformed Church and the Roman Catholic Our Lady of Guadalupe all holding a far stronger roll in the community than their purely religious roles.
