The Village at Gardanne – Cezanne
by: Carmen Quang, Claudia Yan, Erica Loo, Alison Lin, Michael Gan, Joseph Cocchiara
Our time at the Night at the Museum and the workshop was eye opening. We
were able to hear other people’s different takes on the same piece of art. It was
interesting to hear the different interpretations of paintings, especially when others
bring up something about the painting that you yourself did not notice. We learned
how difficult it is to interpret a painting, especially one of a landscape. For all we
know, the artist could have created the piece of art just for the fun of it. Before this,
some of us had never been encouraged to have a conversation with other people
about a piece of art.

Night at the Museum! – “Standing Woman” by Gaston Lachaise
by: Ian Miranda, Saumik Islam, Chris George, Adrian Horczak, Mark Campmier, Kevin Call
As a group we were able to share our thoughts and dissect our opinions on selected pieces. It was a great learning experience as our campuses got to interact on art, a topic many of us did not have much prior experience. We all learned how to critique each others thoughts an how to interpret a piece of art as a group.

The Road of the War Prisoners
by: Pravindi Herath, Matt Franks, Nazir Jalili, Marysol Finkenberg, Luis Feliciano, Christopher Garcia
Our group learned to appreciate art from a new perspective. The process of making a movie has more elements to it than we expected, but we had an enjoyable time doing it. Our movie lasted only four minutes, but it took us about 2 hours to completely finish it.

Night at the Brooklyn Museum Video
by: Rachel Shnaydman, Radhika Viswanathan, Natalia Hernandez, Shreya Jain, Marybeth Babu
It was a very moving experience, being surrounded by all of the works of culture was very influential for us. We learned a lot about the effect of art, the styles, the way it is painted. While looking at the art, we got a glimpse into the artist’s minds and it felt like we were in a different world.

Anthropoid Coffin of the Servant of the Great Place, Teti
by: Ali Janati, Elijah Blumofe, Xavier Gooding, Christian Butron, Ryan Mellino
This was such a swell time. We got to fully grasp the I-Movie and Garage band applications. Ultimately, we come out as knowledgeable students in arts and technology.
