The Significance of Historical Examination

This section of the website explores the past of the area we know today as Carl Schurz Park. We start off by taking an in depth look into what the area was before European settlement; what it looked like, what species lived there, and its relation to human settlement. We then examine how the area transformed after European settlement, both environmentally and historically. This investigation of the area’s history allows us to better understand the park’s environmental present and future.

Nice, brief introduction to this section. Perhaps you can include informative captions for the photos, although I am assuming that Gracie mansion is in all of the pictures.
