I went to MOMA, also known as the museum of modern art and checked out a couple exhibitions. Sum of Days, talk to me, and de Kooning were a couple of ones that i went to. I really enjoyed the talk to me exhibition which had a lot more technological artwork. Like the clock, where two men are sweeping garbage and from an bird’s eye view displays the time. The de kooning exhibition was very abstract and I did not enjoy it at all. I look at abstract art and find it hard to understand what the painter is trying to express. Like the picture above, all i see is colors and shapes, which i don’t really understand. This frustration maybe because I do not have enough background knowledge on the paintings and this time the disorienting feeling has overwhelmed me. The intricate puzzle is too complex that I don’t even know where to begin.
