• Witticism of the now:

  On a stop light green means go, red means stop and yellow means slow down, but on a banana it's just the opposite. Green means 'hold on,' yellow means 'go ahead,' and red means, 'where the **** did you get that banana at?'

  Check out Chicago, Come On, Feel the Illinoise!, Majesty Snowbird, and just about anything else he's ever written.

  Breathless
  Is a great new wave French film. We saw it in class. It was funny and fresh, no Hollywood cliche, very much like the beat generation.

  The Lady Eve
  Classic screwball comedy. If you like Some Like it Hot, or other films in this vein, you will love it!

  The Alchemist
  I reread this book recently. Although repetitive and occasionally preachy, it is a really interesting and inspirational read.

  Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You
  I read this book recently. My aunt recommended it to me. I was skeptical at first, but it was a fun light read. It is a retelling of "Catcher in the Rye", in a modern dysfunctional family. It's got some really funny moments.
